Succinct Communications announced today that it is to join OPEN Health Communications LLP.  Succinct Communications, the market leading specialist medical communications consultancy, will provide the medical communications backbone within the recently-formed OPEN Health group.  With immediate effect, the current med comms business within OPEN Health (OPEN Minds) will re-brand as Succinct. There will however be no changes to existing services and all client contracts will remain in place.

The combined strengths of Succinct and OPEN Health’s existing capabilities will provide clients with an unparalleled range of consulting skills spanning medical communication, advertising, brand development and public relations.

The Succinct leadership team of Sean McGrath and Lisa Dodgshon will form a new executive board alongside OPEN Health’s Sandy Royden, David Rowley and Roger Selman.

Amersham-based Succinct was founded in 2000 and has carved out an unsurpassed reputation as an industry leader in med comms, particularly in high-cost specialist medicines, oncology, publication planning and market access.  The team comprises 40 professionals and boasts an impressive UK and global client list, including Sanofi, Roche, GE, MSD, GSK, Amgen and the British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA).

At last Friday's annual PM Society Awards event at Grosvenor House in Park Lane, London, OPEN LEC secured the Healthcare Industry (Target) Award for our work on its OPEN Fire! mailer competition. As well as winning this category, we also won a high commendation for our OPEN Health print advertisements.

OPEN Health took two tables at the event for our clients and members of the OPEN LEC team who had worked on the projects. As ever, the event was hugely enjoyable and we'd like to pass on our congratulations to the other award winners on the night too.
