Overview of role:

The OPEN Health Business Development Director is responsible for the development of the Value, Informatics and Evidence business with EU, global and UK clients. This will include identification of target companies and key products, particularly products in development, leveraging the existing OPEN Health global client base, finding new clients and determining our BD strategy for these clients. The Business Development Director will build relationships with global and UK Heads of Market Access, Medical Affairs and Real World Evidence, identifying sales leads and generating requests for proposals for all of the OPEN Health Value, Informatics and Evidence business units. The Business Development Director will work with the Business Unit Heads to coordinate proposals and pitches for new business, developing client relationships post pitch, win and managing revenue growth over the longer term. The Business Development Director will be responsible for meeting the new business target for OPEN Health Value, Informatics and Evidence and the provision of timely updates on metrics and performance.


  • Drive new business development by identifying opportunities, generating leads, delivering credentials presentations and securing and responding to RFPs for Market Access, Real World Evidence and HEOR projects
  • Meet new business targets for OPEN Health across the Value, Informatics and Evidence business units
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Heads of Market Access, Medical Affairs and Real World Evidence
  • Coordinate the development of proposals and pitch presentations
  • Provide strategic direction for new business development across the business units
  • Report on performance metrics such as numbers of leads, RFPs and new business revenues

Personal specification:

A proven business development track record working within recognized market access, informatics and real world evidence vendors

Knowledge and at least 10 years’ experience in the market access, health informatics, real world evidence and health economics and outcomes research environment including:

  • Observational research
  • Health informatics
  • Patient reported outcomes
  • Global payer archetypes and payer value communications
  • Pricing and reimbursement research and landscape assessment
  • Systematic literature reviews
  • Evidence review and generation
  • HTA strategy development
  • Health economic modelling

Disease Area Expertise: Expertise in Oncology/Haematology is required


Marlow is without a doubt one of the loveliest locations on the River Thames, set amongst the rich meadows of the river valley and alongside the woodlands of the Chiltern Hills.
