Healthcare Consultant

The newly created role of Consultant will give you the opportunity to enhance your strategic abilities to support our clients in addressing their business critical issues, whilst exposing you to on-the-ground experience of managing brands. We currently partner with several top pharmaceutical companies, working on a range of medicines and medical devices across the lifecycle in specialist and generalist therapy areas.

You will be a success if you:

  • Have 3-4 years of previous experience of working in a healthcare communications agency, healthcare consultancy and/or you have in-house pharmaceutical company experience
  • Have a high level of understanding of pharmaceutical company processes and governance
  • Have the ability to think strategically, synthesize data and draw accurate and logical conclusions
  • Are able to find, prioritise and analyse data from numerous sources to develop recommendations that will lead to successful performance improvement
  • Are a creative thinker and have demonstrated problem solving abilities
  • Will be critical of your work and the work of others to ensure that the recommendations we provide to clients have been thoroughly evaluated
  • Are self-driven, enthusiastic and have excellent networking, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Have effective project management, time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Are able to work with limited supervision and provide guidance to junior members of the team, providing guidance and management as needed

Key responsibilities
You will direct the development and delivery of key Accretio projects spanning the Accretio healthcare consultancy and commercial operations activities, utilising Accretio resources, partner companies and freelancer networks. You will ensure that client objectives are met, the company strategy is supported and best practice is continually challenged and evolved utilising insights from your experience gained across the multiple projects you will be responsible for.

You will do this through:

  • Defining strategic drivers for medicines, portfolios and organisational improvement
  • Utilising data to review the performance of activities, fully understanding the reasons for success and opportunity for future improvements
  • Identifying new ways of working to ensure continuous learning and development of the full team
  • Contributing to Accretio’s Marketing Strategy
  • Supporting business development by identifying opportunities for organic growth and new customers

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability, project management skills, including the management of complex multi-stakeholder projects
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • ‘Big picture’ thinking while maintaining keen attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize data and draw accurate, logical conclusions
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and comfort of working with and leading groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Sciences/Business degree or equivalent
